Smash Burger in St. Albert

Loved the burger. The fries were on point. Everything was well portioned out to eat. It tasted very fresh and tender. Presentation of the food wasn't messy or overloaded with toppings. Id recommend this place to anyone. I walked in not knowing what was on their menu and walked out feeling fulfilled. Well worth my money though bringing it down a couple dollars would be nice. Keep in mind this not your typical fast food joint. It's very comparable to South Street Burger with its food being held at a high standard and the price is well justified but as I said bringing the price down doesn't hurt.

Normally smashburgers are amazing.... this one at 1pm sunday August 2.... was grossly over saturated with grease... not the burger though the bun and all veggies... burger was dry... not happy.

Tried smash burger for the first time and was very disappointed. One of our poutines had much darker gravy than the other and was insanely salty and disgusting. Chicken burgers were dry and the beef was bland. Don’t waste your money here, so many better alternatives.

Super great burgers! I had the Smash burger with bacon and it was amazing. Very friendly customer service and food came out super quick. For the quality the prices are great too. The restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be returning here in the future.

Who ever was working february 5th at 6pm needs training Waited 20 minutes for food and still got the order wrong , been here so many times and bad staff is the down fall of this place the food can be good when done correct

Smashburger is definitely one of my favorite burger places. They have good quality beef and a good selection of toppings. I usually go for the create your own burger but they also have some really good choices in the menu as well like the Alberta. They have delicious fries too!

This site is my favorite site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. when I want to go to a good lunch, this is the place that comes first to my mind. exeptionalgorgeous and diverse food and a large menu.courteous team, and nice mood. Not less important, the expence is fair. I suggest this spot with pleasure.

Not quite the same as other places still burgers though .. love the quality and I had a burger with jalapeño and they were fresh cut not pickled junk and the buns are super fresh. Just fresh clean eating and you feel like it's a cheat but it's good quality

Second visit to this location. The food has been great both times, some of the best sweet potato fries. Service is good, on our last visit the person working the front must have been new, so ordering took a while but the guys in the kitchen were rocking it to minimize the impact.

I had to wait due to some technical issues with the ordering system. After they solved the issue, the food came very fast. I found my hamburger to be satisfactory and will likely return to try another hamburger.

First time here and it was good. We looked over the menu, they asked if it was first time visiting which was pretty intuitive of them. Ordering went great, repeated what we had ordered which is always impressive. Atmosphere is really nice, super clean and we just got our drinks and our smashburgers were brought to our table. Their presentation was really nice, onion rings were as good as the deep fried pickles and the burgers were delicious, hot, fresh and tasty. We were presented with two coupons for our next visit and we are definitely going back and going to try their chicken burgers which look really good. They even picked up our trays when we were done. You have to go try this place out, it's great! 🍔🍻🍴

We had crispy chicken burgers and deep fried pickles. The pickles were crunchy and tart. The burgers, while tasty, had crunchy, meatless areas around the outside.The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive; we got as much attention at this fast food place as we would in a sit-down restaurant.

One of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Hot all the way through. Fries were great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Costs a little more than your average fast food burgers but worth it.

First time. Front end is not helpful. Not language barrier, it was laziness. I didn't bring my glasses and needed help with thier "sides" selection. She just kept gesturing at the menu. I felt rushed and humiliated and ended up paying more than I wanted. 2 meals 42.26 later, lettuce is wilted and small. Fries soggy and limp. Gravy too salty. Didn't take more than a few bites of anything we ordered. Wasteful and a waste of my time and money

Cannot give a half star. 2nd worst burgers ever. SO VERY GREASY! only a step above fatburger. The Coke and Fanta was good.

I hate that the best burger in St. Albert is from a California burger chain, but sometimes that’s just the way she goes. 9/10 big fan.

I arrive at this marvelous place from time to time as I like the good mood that is part of this place. The personel is exceptionally cordial and experienced. The service is very quick. Needless to say, the food you get is magnificent. I came many times and I was always satisfied. The expense is fair. I highly suggest this place to to all.

This was our first time at Smashburger. The food was nice and fresh and hot when it was brought to our table. They also have the best chicken strips ( kids menu ) zip have ever had from any restaurant.The burgers were really fresh and tasty. The staff were really friendly and fun. We will definitely be back and also recommend Smashburger to other people!:) Thank you.

Took the family here to try it out. Everything was very average. Nothing great or terrible. Pretty disappointing for the price. I won't be back.

On the way to the movies, my family and I decided to stop my Smash Burger for a quick bite. Didn’t seem too busy, “great, should be fast and fresh!” I thought.20-30 minutes later, after a very long wait, we finally got our food. My wife and I got burgers that were cold, like... not a hot patty, not a warm bun, just room temp like it was sitting there for 20-30 minutes.Kids meal burger had nothing on it. No condiments. To be fair, it was warm. And the fries were good.But as a first visit there, I have to say I had much higher expectations and was disappointed. I even said when I ordered “first visit here! Looking forward to it”When you’re competing against Five Guys, and Fatburger... you’re going to have to step up your game! :)UPDATE: They have reached out to us to resolve the issue and try to make up for it. I have added one more star for now. We'll see how it all plays out and may return to update accordingly.

This was our first time at Smashburger - ordered a bacon avocado club, smash tots, classic burger and smash fries. Fries, classic burger & tots were delicious, but my bacon avocado club was made wrong (had sauce I asked them to remove due to an allergy) and didn't notice until I got home. Called back to get them to correct the mistake, staff were apologetic and quick to remake the burger. Checked again and the burger was once again made wrong (sauce was removed this time but was missing the bacon AND avocado) but at this point I was hungry and impatient so I decided to eat the burger as is. The burger was juicy and flavorful, however I wish it had the toppings it was supposed to come with. Food is good but their staff don't pay attention to the details, even when it's to correct a previous mistake. Will probably come back because the sides and burgers are delicious, but I'll be more keen to order something that requires no modifications to avoid this situation.

My new fave bulger joint !, wish there were more than 2 in the city !

Wow! First time visiting and exceeded expectations. The flavour of the Smash Fries and Bacon Smash Burger were worth every penny! The milkshake was creamy and well portioned. Friendly staff, clean and modern. New favourite burger joint by far!

Very good food, nice atmosphere, good location, lots of parking. But the food portion size is not worth the price. Expect to pay a little more. It’s more of a been there done that place.

It sure has changed there. Our burgers were dry staff not friendly. June 2020 we won't be back.July 10 2020 update*Update we went to smash Burger today based on tough review I left. First time eating here and we had a great customer service experience and the food was perfect! By far the best Oreo shake both my partner and I have had yet!

Always really good

Basically it's the same quality and cost as Jack's Burger Shack and Fatburger, but with small portions, so Smashburger is decent if either are closed.

Orders came in one person at a time for 3 people. First person was done eating by the time the 3rd plate came. One order out of the 3 was wrong. $52 for 3 meals and left hungry. Meat tasted good but both patties were crumbly and misshapen as well as different sizes which made it very difficult to eat. Unsatisfied with the whole experience and we wont return

Really small burgers for the price that they charge. Flavour is good and the smash fries are tasty as well but they whole experience cost me over $14 and I was still hungry afterwards. Much better value at 5 guys

FINALLY, a burger that is fresh, juicy and actually tastes good!!! So sick of eating burgers (even at chain restaurants) where the burger is over cooked, dry and gross. Chicken and beef burgers were bomb from here. Will continue to get our burger fix from here. 🤘

Tasty as hell!!! A little pricy for the portion...but I love the smash fries and the mushroom burger is one of the best I’ve had.
